If you have a passion for public safety and excellent communication skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you! **Why Join Chenega?** + **Critical Role:** Play a vital role in ensuring public safety and effective emergency response. + **Professional Growth:** Gain valuable experience and advance your career in emergency communications. + **Impactful Work:** Contribute to the safety and security of the community. **Responsibilities** **What You'll Do:** + **Monitor Systems:** Oversee alarms, fire and security systems, access control, CCTV, CJIS Terminal, CLETS, and more. + **Incident Tracking:** Track and record all incidents with a chronological listing. + **Emergency Coordination:** Maintain communication with local and county dispatch centers, request mutual aid resources, and notify affected jurisdictions of events. + **Operate 911 Systems:** Handle 911 emergency calls and the Telephone Device for the Deaf (TDD). + **Flexible Hours:** Be available for flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and remain on call for emergency duty. + **Other Duties:** As assigned. **Qualifications** + **What We're Looking For:** + **Education:** High School Diploma or GED required. + **Certifications:** ICS-100, ICS-200, NIMS IS-700, POST Basic Dispatch Academy), and First Aid/CPR or BLS certification required prior to appointment + **Skills:** Knowledge of standard office practices, report preparation, and emergency communication systems. Proficient with computers and MS Office applications. + **Requirements:** Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
