The Engineering Intern will perform routine tasks as well as receive exposure and direction to grow their technical Engineering skills. **How You'll Create Impact** + Observes and may participate in product development from ideation to commercialization through entire product life cycle with guidance from engineering staff including: + Competitive product for performance characteristics + Conceptualizing new design ideas + Solidworks for parametric modeling and detailing designs of P28 implants and instruments + Create design control documentation for P28 design history files + Development of testing protocols and testing process for new and existing products + Observe surgery (live, cadaver, or video) on lower extremity pathology. Document all notes. + Other duties as directed by manager **What Makes You Stand Out** An engineering internship candidate should combine strong technical skills with a clear understanding of the medical device industry, especially as it pertains to orthopedics. **Your Background** + Generally limited to students pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline with an interest/background in medical device + Prior experience in medical device development helpful but not required + Familiarity with CAD. SolidWorks preferred. + Proficiency in MS Office + Effective communication skills. **Travel Expectations** EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
