Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company's Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an **Entry Level** **Panel Assembler (Level A)** to join our dynamic team in **Sylmar, California** .
Spectrolab is the world's leading merchant supplier of the highest efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems, with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage. Spectrolab's state-of-the-art space solar cells and panels power satellites in Earth's orbit, as well as the International Space Station.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Performs simple production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
+ Performs such processes necessary for the fabrication and production of Solar Cells, including wiring processes, soldering, welding, adhesive mixing and applications, component bonding and abrading of substrates
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.**
**This position is for** **various** **shifts** **(1st, 2nd or 3rd)** **. Candidates must be willing to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.**
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. **To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.**
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
+ Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems
+ Ability to use steady hand-eye coordination to work with small parts
+ Capable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis
+ Ability to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time with only short breaks
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
+ Ability to read and interpret system prints and schematics
+ Experience in J-STD-001 Soldering
+ Experience soldering and terminating wiring
+ Experience with chemical processes
**Typical Education/Experience:**
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
**Relocation:**

**Travel:**
Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $40,800 - $55,200
