Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Event Security Coordinator to support the planning and execution of security operations for client events. In this role, you’ll assist in implementing event-specific security measures, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and help ensure the safety and success of high-profile gatherings. This is a great opportunity for a security professional with 3–5 years of experience looking to grow within the event security field.

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and drafting event-specific security plans under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Coordinate logistics and deployment of on-site security personnel and resources.
  • Support communication with local law enforcement and emergency services before and during events.
  • Monitor access control systems, perimeter security, and incident response protocols during events.
  • Help facilitate emergency preparedness by organizing security briefings and contributing to drills and training sessions.
  • Serve as a day-of-event point of contact for basic security issues, escalating to senior staff when necessary.
  • Contribute to post-event reports by compiling observations and supporting the development of recommendations.
  • Stay informed on evolving trends and best practices in event security coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a security coordination, operations, or support role—experience with events or venues strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to real-time issues.
  • Certifications such as CPP, PSP, or relevant security training are desirable but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-100,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Benefits

  • Control Risks offers a competitively positioned compensation and benefits package that is transparent and summarized in the full job offer.
  • We operate a discretionary bonus scheme that incentivizes, and rewards individuals based on company and individual performance.
  • Control Risks supports hybrid working arrangements, wherever possible, that emphasize the value of in-person time together - in the office and with our clients - while continuing to support flexible and remote working.
