THE POSITION

Focus Mortgage is a mortgage lender built to empower independent loan officers and their personal brands. Through our flexible support model, we help loan officers across the country grow their businesses while maintaining autonomy and brand identity.

We are currently in the launch stage and building out our internal and freelance teams.

We're looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer to join our creative team on an as-needed basis. You’ll work closely with both individual loan officers and the Focus corporate team to produce branded, high-quality marketing materials across a variety of sub-brands. You'll receive a detailed brand standards guide, along with access to a ticketing system for streamlined project intake.

This is a remote, freelance position, ideal for a designer who excels in a fast-paced, decentralized environment and can deliver high-quality design work on a project-by-project basis.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Loan Officer Support:

• Using pre-created designs given by the corporate office, alter the designs to match individual loan officer’s personal brand.
• Design additional marketing materials including flyers, social graphics, postcards, digital ads, and email visuals tailored to each loan officer's brand.
• Receive and track assignments through a centralized ticketing system.
• Communicate directly with loan officers to clarify project needs and ensure alignment with their personal branding guidelines and messaging.

Corporate & Sub-Brand Projects:

• Collaborate with the Focus corporate team on company-wide assets such as recruiting materials, event collateral, training documents, or co-branded campaigns.
• Create content for sub-brands while maintaining consistency with each brand’s visual identity.

Brand Alignment:

• Follow the master brand standards provided by Focus Mortgage and adhere to sub-brand guides as needed.
• Ensure all designs reflect the professionalism, clarity, and credibility expected in the mortgage space.
• Anticipate and flag any inconsistencies or brand misalignments in incoming requests.

File Delivery:

• Deliver final assets in correct formats for both digital and print use.
• Submit editable source files when requested for future revisions or reuse.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Must Have Qualifications:

• Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals across print and digital formats.
• Advanced proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Comfortable designing for multiple brands simultaneously and maintaining visual consistency.
• Strong communication and time management skills, especially in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent requests and meet standard turnaround times (2–3 business days for most projects).

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience in real estate, mortgage, or financial services.
• Skills in basic animation or video editing.
