Apply and share your resume with us today!** **Primary Responsibilities** + ThePainter will be responsible for preparing, sanding, media blasting and masking detail and assembly items in a manner to meet MIL-SPEC, Aerospace, Government paint application standards and /or drawing requirements for the painting process. + Responsible for applying pre-mixed and blended paint or coating to interior and exterior of assembled DoD and aircraft industry standards. **Basic Qualifications** + High School diploma/GED with at least 5 years of MIL-SPEC painting experience. + Must be able to read and adhere to MIL Spec documentation. + Responsible for material handling and equipment maintenance and clean up. + Must be able and will be expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s). + Required to read and understand engineering drawings and written work orders, and data inputs of defined process criteria listed in shop floor traveler(s)/router(s). + Must be able to lift and carry up to 35-lbs. + Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment. + Must be willing to work overtime as needed. + Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area. + Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance. **Preferred Qualifications** + Preference shown to candidates who have relevant experience in the CARC painting application. + Preferred candidates will already possess a Final Secret Clearance.
