Zantech is looking for a talented SS (Security Systems) ISSO for an upcoming Hybrid position based out of Washington DC.

The SS ISSO ensures that security systems meet all applicable federal regulations, recognized cybersecurity standards, and internal organizational policies and procedures. This includes overseeing compliance with frameworks such as FISMA, NIST Special Publications (e.g., SP 800-53), and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), as well as agency-specific security directives.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

• Ensure security systems meet federal regulations and cybersecurity standards
• Oversee compliance with FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and FIPS requirements
• Review and develop system security plans and required security documentation
• Perform certification and accreditation activities for assigned systems
• Manage risk to acceptable levels for security systems
• Support the DOC cybersecurity program with technical expertise and oversight

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience actively working with the NIST 800 Series
• Experience working with FIPS 200, FISMA, the Privacy Act
• Working knowledge of risk management and associated artifacts required by FISMA

Required Certifications/Education:

• IAT At least one professional security certification related to information security

Required Security Clearance:

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or higher clearance, per contract requirements.
