Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Location: Syracuse, NY Shift Information: Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Shift: 12 Shift Type: Variable (Days/Evenings/Nights) Compensation: Local Candidates: $45/hour Travel Candidates: $60/hour Position Summary: We are seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a background in Emergency Department (ED) or Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills and thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment. This role requires availability to work every other weekend and select holidays. Qualifications: Active LPN license in the State of New York CPR certification (or ability to obtain/renew prior to start) Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Inpatient care experience preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal supervision in an acute care setting Welcome patients, escort them to exam rooms, and assist in exam preparation Support providers during exams, including tray setup for injections and procedures Record patient progress, including vital signs and clinical observations Perform phlebotomy and initiate IV access when required
