Modeling and Simulation Engineer to guide the design and operation of complex simulation systems enabling the development and integration of emerging technologies to support NATO force design and strategic decision making.
Education and Qualifications - Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics
- 8 years of experience in M&S management to include initiation, planning, and execution of M&S projects
- 5 years of experience supporting the design, planning and execution of wargames, exercises, experiments, or other similar events.
- Simulation software expertise (AnyLogic, Arena, MATLAB/Simulink) is desirable.
- Expertise in verification and validation methodologies
- 2 years’ experience in multinational/international military environments.
Responsibilities
- Apply simulation systems to support the development of analytical studies at the operational and strategic level.
- Develop digital representations of physical or conceptual systems, incorporating their inherent physics, mathematics, and logical structures.
- Run simulation models to simulate a system's behavior, allowing for the study of dynamic changes and performance characteristics.
- Analyze the resulting data to understand key performance indicators, identify critical decision points, and visualize system responses.
- Design virtual experiments verify the efficacy of new designs and analyze the performance of existing or proposed systems.
- Use M&S tools to support requirements definition, assessing program upgrades, and optimizing resource usage.
