Pay Range: $75–$80/hour ($2,800–$3,000/week)
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Pathologist Assistant for an exciting Travel in Saranac Lake, NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform gross examination, description, and dissection of surgical specimens following established protocols.
Assist in autopsy procedures, including evisceration, dissection, and specimen preparation for microscopic analysis.
Accurately label, document, and accession specimens in compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with pathologists to support diagnostic accuracy and efficient workflow.
Prepare tissue samples for histologic processing and maintain quality control of tissue sections and photographs.
Maintain laboratory instruments, equipment, and supplies in a clean and functional state.
Participate in continuing education to stay current with pathology procedures and technologies.
Adhere to safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.
Assist in training and mentoring laboratory staff or pathology residents as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
Active New York State Pathologist Assistant license.
Minimum of one year of relevant experience in surgical pathology, histology, cytology, general pathology, and autopsy procedures.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and efficiency.
