WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Pipeline Operator I Aft 2yr in our Joliet, Illinois location. Job Summary A Pipeline Operator 1 After 2 years will perform assigned duties under general supervision related to operating and maintenance activities associated with transmission pipelines and stations, valves, fittings and equipment. This includes performing all CFR 192 required safety and operational surveys. They will perform ONE CALL locates/markings and on-site inspector assignments when required by operational activities by other utilities or contractors near our facilities. Performs leak investigation requests and right-of-way maintenance activities. Perform other related and incidental duties as assigned by the Pipeline Operations Supervisor. The Pipeline Opeartor position is part of the (Pipeline Opeartor No. 1, Pipeline Opeartor No. 2, and Pipeline Opeartor No. 3) job family and experience will be the determining factor. Job Responsibilities

• Operates pipeline valves and equipment including repairs and overhauls.
• Performs various required safety surveys.
• Performs ONE CALL locates and markings. Performs On-Site Pipeline Inspector Assignments.
• Performs station and right-of-way maintenance activities.
• Train and guide less experienced operations personnel.Minimum Experience Required
• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
• 1+ years Experience in manual labor using hand tools, power tools, air tools or heavy equipment.
• 1+ years Experience working in construction, excavating or pipefitting operations.
• 1+ years Experience performing manual labor that requires several steps, phases or detailed procedures.
• 1+ years Experience reading and interpreting instructions, plans and maps.Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ years Experience in gas transmission or distribution and/or Cathodic Protection is preferred.
