Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Accountant who has prior experience managing the financial aspects of large-scale construction projects or programs. The ideal individual will have prior experience successfully managing and leading a team. 

Responsibilities: 

• Supporting the development and implementation of financial strategies for major construction projects. 
• Providing specialist financial and accounting advice to private sector clients across a variety of construction contracts. 
• Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. 
• Monitoring project costs and ensuring they align with the approved budget. 
• Conducting financial analysis and reporting on project performance. 
• Managing project billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. 
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. 
• Building positive relationships within the project team and with Client personnel and their key advisors. 
• Managing and updating internal financial trackers and supporting the financial capability of the project services division. 
• Supporting the delivery of both team and wider business targets. 
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 
• A minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry. 
• Working knowledge and experience of various financial management systems and software. 
• Experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting. 
• Experience in implementing financial strategies, including risk identification, quantification, and allocation. 
• Proven ability to liaise with and coordinate multiple stakeholders to develop robust financial documents. 
• Excellent communication skills. 

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $80K-$150K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and
