Job Description

Memco is looking for a reliable and experienced Skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. This role requires a broad knowledge of construction methods and techniques, including carpentry, framing, drywall, concrete, and general labor tasks. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and capable of performing a variety of tasks with minimal supervision.

• Mon - Fri ; sometimes Saturday's
• Pay: $24 - $26/hr
• Full time and long term position

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of skilled construction duties including framing, roofing, drywall installation, painting, and minor plumbing or electrical tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Interpret blueprints, project plans, and drawings.
• Assist with the layout, measurement, and preparation of construction materials.
• Install structures such as windows, doors, cabinetry, and flooring.
• Mix and pour concrete, build and dismantle forms, and finish surfaces.
• Load and unload materials and tools; ensure proper storage and site cleanliness.
• Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a background and 5 panel drug test
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in general or specialized construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents.
• Familiarity with local building codes and safety standards (OSHA preferred).
• High school diploma or GED; trade school or apprenticeship training is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if required for the role).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), stand, bend, and kneel for long periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Capable of working at heights and on ladders or scaffolding.
