Role: Sr. Data Analyst

Location: Canada Remote

Experience: 8+ years

Job description:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements..
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and data requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to understand business processes and pain points.
• Perform data profiling to assess data quality, completeness, and consistency.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Hands on with SQL, pysparks , reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar to analyze data.
• Work with data engineers to define data models and ensure data readiness for analysis.
• Create clear and concise documentation including BRDs, FRDs, data dictionaries, and process flows.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a compelling and actionable manner

Key Responsibilities & Skillsets:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data projects - new development
• Data Tools: SSIS, Microsoft SQL, Azure , AWS S3, Power BI, Salesforce
• Excellent communication & presentation skills and should be able to communicate with client effectively
• Experience in managing SQL codes and collaborating with customer on data model evolution
• Good knowledge of Relational Data Base Management and SQL
• Strong SQL and Python
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• Strong and in-depth understanding of DE Fundamentals
• Data analysis experience
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
